Breaking new ground in collaborative research, the “Hidden Landscape” video collection explores the legend of an ancient “Lost Race” in Eastern North America and investigates the widely disputed origin of the region’s mysterious stone ruins. Hidden Landscapes begins by offering an introductory history of how scientific, Native, and antiquarian interpretations have developed over time. Additional episodes follow archeological teams of scientists who work with both Native American tribal representatives and antiquarian researchers to investigate the origins of several newly discovered stone ruins in Eastern North America. The series includes a major new archaeological discovery in the Champlain Valley that has pushed the date of long distance Native American sea-trading along the Eastern coast to more than 10,000 years ago. There has simply never been a vision for indigenous culture that included such an early or sophisticated maritime lifestyle in the Northeast.
